What do YOU do for Environment?
With so many issues on the table, high costs of gas, food, mortgage dilemma, increased debt, etc, what are you doing to take responsibility for your own well being? Have you taken steps to change your behavior? Or to change your attitudes? Are you doing anything differently?

I've been 7 years working the ground using sustainable practices to work what was once rock hard and depleted ground into nutrient rich soil. I've killed rampant blackberry, ivy, and holly growth using no chemicals what so ever, employing lunar gardening principles instead.
I've been working to develop a permaculture in my yard. This has required a good deal of studying and thought (since I knew nothing to begin with). Permaculture designs are made to include different zones within a yard. Zones for humanliving, pets and or farm animal spaces, kitchen garden, orchard, composting, hosting wildlife. Plants introduced into a permaculture need to serve more than one purpose, food, shelter, shade, soil enrichment, etc. And it can feed more than one species i.e. people, birds, bees, etc.
